A weather advisory for heavy rains has been issued for 14 districts by the Meteorology department till 11.00 am tomorrow (12).

According to the Meteorology department, the prevailing showery condition is expected to continue, due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance around Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, heavy showers above 100mm can be expected at some places in the Eastern, Uva, Central, and North-central provinces.

Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in the North-western, Western, and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
