From the founders who brought Dilmah Ceylon Tea to the world, Cape Weligama—part of Resplendent Ceylon’s collection of luxury resorts and a distinguished member of Relais & Châteaux —has unveiled an upgraded audio experience, expertly installed by Digital Ear – Sri Lanka’s leading provider of high-end audio and luxury lifestyle solutions. This project integrates sound with sophisticated design, enhancing guest experiences through the renowned audio excellence of Void Acoustics and Ruark Audio.
The management of Cape Weligama sought an upgrade that would deliver top-notch audio quality while blending seamlessly into the resort’s elegant architecture. Digital Ear meticulously designed speaker placements that optimized both aesthetics and acoustics, curating and installing cutting-edge solutions tailored to each venue.
The Atlas (All-Day Dining): A destination where guests indulge in a fusion of global and local flavours, The Atlas now features Void Cyclone 55 speakers, designed to withstand outdoor environments and powered by the Void Bias D1+ amplifier.
The Society (Tea Lounge & Sundowner Spot): Honouring Sri Lanka’s deep-rooted tea culture, The Society offers guests a premium Dilmah Ceylon High Tea experience. This venue is now equipped with Void Cyclone 55 and Cyclone 4 speakers, both engineered for durability and sound clarity. The system is driven by the Void Inca 500 amplifier that enables seamless transitions between ambient background music and lively gatherings.
Luxury Villas & Suites: To enhance personal in-room experiences, each room has been fitted with the Ruark R1S smart radio. Featuring a sleek, contemporary design, the R1S offers guests a multifunctional audio solution with SmartRadio, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, and more—letting guests personalize their audio experience during their stay.
Despite tight deadlines, Digital Ear successfully executed the installation, earning positive feedback from guests and staff alike for the system’s clarity and depth.
