Rooster HR, a fast-paced newcomer in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) technology in South Asia, is excited to announce the appointment of Yohan Wijewardane as its new CEO. This strategic move is part of Rooster’s ambitious expansion into HR automation, aiming to enhance the recruitment process for both job seekers and employers.

Yohan Wijewardane brings a wealth of experience to the table, having co-founded PAYable, Sri Lanka’s largest payment aggregator, where he transformed the payments landscape in Sri Lanka building a network processing over Rs.80 billion in transactions. His track record in innovation and fostering growth in the technology sector made him the ideal leader for Rooster as the platform plans to expand its offerings which include a variety of financial services.

“I am super excited to lead Rooster into this new phase of growth. We’re not just advancing recruitment, we’re building an ecosystem that allows organisations to Hire, Manage and Retain their best performers.

Rooster is more than technology; we’re engaging our partners with ‘Software with a Service,’ ensuring our clients receive comprehensive support and guidance every step of the way. I eagerly anticipate the challenges ahead as we continue to innovate and empower businesses in the HR landscape,” said Wijewardane.

Rooster Technology is building on its successful Job Board and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), renowned for its user-friendly interface and powerful capabilities with over 100,000 applications being processed so far. The company is now enhancing its offerings with the introduction of a comprehensive Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This new system will leverage automation to streamline essential HR functions such as onboarding, employee data management, payroll, time tracking, and leave management.

“Talent is the number one driver for a company’s success, but few companies have really put the effort towards embracing technology to support its HR practices. I’m confident that Yohan will act as a change agent and an advocate to show them that there’s a better way” said Bhanuka Harischandra a co-founder of the company.

Under Yohan Wijewardane’s leadership, Rooster Technology is set to redefine HR automation and establish new benchmarks for excellence in the industry, promising a more efficient and inclusive future in HR management.
